Valentines Day Recipe Round-Up

OH BOY!

So in the name of honesty, which is usually the tone I write in on this bloggy, I have had 16 major meltdowns probably in just the past two weeks. Two days. Today. OKAY SINCE THIS MORNING.

Now I am sure I can chalk some of that up to hormones and physical stress (weightlifting why you make me cry pls) but a big part of that stress is having no 'ME' time. I look at friends with children and cannot imagine how that would feel. If someone tossed a baby my way right now I would be like..OK baby. It's time to find you a job. You need to be a productive baby because mama is crying about her slowly sloping and melting cake that needs to go out for an order in an hour.

BEFORE 'me' time was usually spent blogging, drafting up new recipes and taking beautiful high quality photos of cupcakes.

Now...It looks more like me trying to find 5 minutes to thread my own eyebrows Saturday morning but mostly it's spent applying concealer to try and convey to the world -- HECK YAH I CAN DO IT ALL - LOOKIT ME -- AWE YEA -- BRIGHT EYED SUMMER IS READY FOR U WORLD. Magically Friday nights turn to Monday mornings and my weightlifting gear is thrown all over the place and my laundry is on my computer chair and I can't remember which office I am supposed to drive to.

WHERE DO I WORK. GET OUT OF MY WAY. WHY ARE YOU DRIVING SO SLOW. WHY ARE YOU TAILGATING ME, I'M NOT DRIVING FAST ENOUGH?! JESUS MARY AND JOSEPH.

Anyways -- the moral of the story is I really wish I had more time to blog and take pretty pictures -- there will be a new recipe SOON as well as a contest that I will be publishing third week-ish of the month so please stay tuned for DAT.

In the mean time I thought I would round up my Valentines Day Recipes for you and your Bae. Or just if you're your one Bae. In my case BAE means Broke, Angry and Emotional. Can I get an amen, pls?

That makes me lolllll out loud. ;)

ONTO DA ROUND UP!

These are super easy to put together but look really impressive. You can also use my World's Healthiest Brownies as the base!

Let's check out the rest of these bad boys before my head explodes because now I am worried about my baby that I don't even have yet.

These are in my top 3 favourite protein bars (and I have a LOT of recipes -- some which I haven't even posted yet) and while they do take some more time to assemble they are so so so worth it! Bae will love dese.

You can colour these pink if you want but honestly the strawberry flavour to me just screams -- I LOVE YOU MY VALENTINE.

And sprinkles. Ladies love sprinkles.

You can also colour these pink if you want but the cranberries are red and that's sorta the same thing. Soft, sweet and so goooorrrddd.

I love this cut-out recipe. I recently a reader wrote me saying their dough was too soft -- the dough is soft so make sure to chill it and if you KNEAD to add in some more cocoa/flour when rolling it out so they keep their shape. GF flour mixes are all different -- if you have the Bob's Red Mill Baking GF Flour that works great!

I. Love. These.

Such a versatile recipe -- it will convert the gf- phobes out there, I promise. Decorate them any which way you want and package them in a pretty box :)

I really don't need to describe these. SO GOOD. But keep them cool because ain't nobody want melted chocolates and the coconut oil makes these extra melty.

My classic donut recipe. I love my heart shaped donut pan -- but if you don't have one, Valentine's Sprinkles will do!

So that's it.  8 recipes to win yourself a Bae or just allow you to be your own Bae.

My 'person' asked me what my ideal Valentine's Day would be. I told him eating a heart shaped pizza alone in my bed surrounded by cupcakes.

He wasn't impressed? Why not tho??

So if you're impressing someone else or just spending the day with your gal pals or bruhs, use this holiday to celebrate love. Not romantic love if you don't want to, just love SOMETHING or someone and celebrate that.

With donuts.

LOVE YOU ALL,

XOXO
